Dwelling Extension Granted Planning Approval in Small Countryside Settlement

Tue 21 April 2020

Existing Building PlansMcCartneys LLP Planning and Survey department have obtained full planning approval for a large extension to a small rural dwelling.

McCartneys were instructed by clients to obtain planning permission for a large extension in order to expand the size of their family home. This work entailed detailed design modifications to the existing dwelling by raising the roof and eaves height for improved first floor circulation, which was essential for the success of the extension proposal.

The existing dwelling comprises a modest sized one-bedroom country cottage. The planning permission sought, and the approved design drafted by McCartneys, reflected the client’s future family living needs and will result in a spacious modern living three-bedroom dwelling into which the family can expand allowing them to thoroughly enjoy this delightful rural setting without the upheaval of relocation.

Design/drawing work was undertaken, and the planning permission application was submitted by Steven Horne of McCartneys Planning and Survey department working from the Herefordshire Office of McCartneys.
