Comprising 147 acres in 15 lots a packed Whitton Community Hall saw prices peak at a figure of £320/acre. Five lots sold for in excess of £200/acre with two lots in excess of £300/acre. The keep includes the Charity Hill which is a large block of 68 acres of upland grazing and this sold for £64/acre. The overall average on 147 acres was £127/acre. Excepting the Charity Hill the overall average on 79 acres was £180/acre. McCartneys have several auctions of grass keep in the forthcoming weeks.
