Kington Fat Sheep Report Thursday 21st June 2018
Thu 21 June 2018
McCartneys of Kington report an entry of 1144 sheep on Thursday last the 21st June.
This sheep trade remains good in all sections for the time of year. The lambs have eased over the past week due to larger numbers being marketed and buyers complaining about the lack of demand at present for lamb. The cull ewes remain a very strong trade.
The buyers require good meated sheep for their orders and are willing to pay for the right goods. Leaner sheep are at a disadvantage so it is well worth selecting the right sheep to sell.
