Fri 15 December 2017

McCartneys report a good entry of store cattle at Kington on Tuesday 5th December 2017 for their December sale.

We had an excellent sale of store cattle at Kington with and a good attendance of buyers looking for all types of cattle. The store cattle trade remains firm at present which is under pinned by the good fat trade at present. We had a mixed quality entry of cattle and all sold to a good trade with good buying support. The ages of the cattle ranged from 11 to 32 months and weights from 370kg to 632kg. All cattle forward sold to an excellent trade with a good following of buyers and more could have been sold at these good prices.

The well-bred and good confirmation cattle sold to premium prices and sold up to £2.50ppk for some 19 month old Limousin x steers JW Lloyd and Sons which made £945. The super market spec cattle sold to premium prices with an excellent trade throughout the sale on all sorts.
