KNIGHTON MARKET – NEXT SALE OF STORE CATTLE (including BREEDING STOCK) AND STORE SHEEP – FRIDAY 1st JUNE 2018
I write to invite your entries of cattle and sheep for the above auction and PLEASE NOTE ENTRIES WILL CLOSE THIS COMING THURSDAY 24th MAY 2018 AT 5.00PM.
There was another excellent trade on an entry of good quality cattle last Friday. All steers averaged 229.83 pence per kilo and all heifers levelled at 213.82 pence. Once again we had a super trade on an entry of young feeding bulls. These averaged 235.46 pence per kilo and £1068 per head. Top price was £1200 for a pair of bulls from J G Mills, Lower Wootton which were 11 months old and weighed 550 kilos. The top price steer was entered by J L & K H Nixon & Sons, Cefnpenarth which weighed 605 kilos and sold for £1330. Salers Bulling heifers from Messrs J B Morris, Lower Litton were a tremendous trade selling to a top of £1420 per head.
