STORE CATTLE – 965 A terrific entry in all sections with buyers competing for all cattle on offer. Plenty of interest in the breeding stock.
BREEDING CATTLE: A good selection of breeding bulls made to £3360 with other young Limousin bulls to £1600. Cow and Calf season is definitely here with solid trade on all pairs. Outfits made to £2000. Many more needed for Friday 25th May.
FEEDING BULLS: Another storming entry in the feeding bull section with a range of buyers competing from start to finish. 363 bulls peaked at £1360 to average £847 or 2.28p/kg. More needed for Friday 25th May.
HEIFERS: An excellent entry of heifers with grazing and feeding buyers competing from start to finish. Several Native types forward all finding new homes. Good suckler types had their own following. Heifers made to £1130 or 3.16p/kg to average £783 or 209p/kg. Next Sale: Friday 25th May – many more needed.
STEERS: An excellent yard of steers with a good range of grazing, feeding and Native sorts on offer. Buyers all readily competing. Steers topped at £1220 or 2.63p/kg to average £923 or 2.16p/kg. Next sale: Friday 25th May – buyers guaranteed.
