McCartneys report a successful sale of the Purebred Flock Dispersal Sale of the Luntley Court Farm Flock at Luntley Court Farm, Pembridge, Hereford on Saturday 17th September 2016.
The sale started with a full contingent of buyers for the Ewe Flock with two year old Suffolk Ewes topping at 275gns to J W Jones, Welshpool. Three Year old Suffolk Ewes sold to 265gns to S Ayres, Ludlow and Yearlings topped out at 235gns.
The Purebred Suffolk Ewe lambs were a real picture and topped at 250gns per head, to average 169gns. The Purebred Texel Flock sold to 360gns on two occasions for two lots of Yearling Texel Ewes. Two year old Texels topped at 295gns to M J Lewis, Leebotwood with an excellent trade right through. Purebred Texel Ewe Lambs sold to 185gns to average 118gns per head.
