Two Storey Rear Extension Granted Planning Approval to a Rural Residential Dwelling

Tue 7 May 2019

McCartneys LLP planning and survey department have obtained householder planning approval for the demolition of existing sun room and erection of a two storey rear extension to a detached rural dwelling. The extension provides a master bedroom suite to the first floor of the property, whilst improving the reception areas on the ground floor, including providing a much more suitable sized kitchen to the dwelling. The application made use of our 3d drawing software which enabled our client and the council to clearly see the proposed alterations.

The application has slowed down during the planning process due to a potential historical contamination issue, however due to careful discussions this was overcome without the need for additional expense to our client. McCartneys LLP are in the process of preparing detailed building regulations drawings and notes for the scheme in order to satisfy Building Control requirements and allow the applicants to obtain quotes of builders for the proposal.

The application was undertaken and submitted to the council by Geraint Jones working from the Newtown Office of McCartneys. The parish and local council were keen to support the application, which is always positive to see.
