Land At Discoed
The land comprises some 61.90 acres (or thereabouts) of arable and pasture land.The property is accessed directly off the council maintained by road which runs from Maestrayloe crossroads to Rock Bridge near Presteigne. The hamlet of Discoed lies on the eastern side of the property. There are two other access ways to the property. There is a right of way for agricultural purposes only into NG5284 across the northern end of the property known as Kites Drift. There is also an access gate into NG7046 off the by-road which runs from Discoed to The Thorn.The whole is split into five principal enclosures. The two enclosures to the north (NG 3686 and 5284) have been in an arable rotation. A hard track leads from the council road and along side the western boundary of NG 3686 to the sheep pens located in NG 2872.The three enclosures to the south are all in permanent pasture. In the south western corner of NG 3555 is an unfenced area of deciduous woodland amounting to 0.73 hectares. In the middle of the grassland block is a shelterbelt of 0.22 hectares. NG 7046 includes a dingle on its eastern side and this includes a natural water supply by way of a stream which is a tributary of the River Lugg.
