2021 Fundraising Completed

Fri 21 January 2022

As a company, McCartneys LLP like to do their bit to fundraise, choosing a different charity each year with the aim of raising as much money as possible by holding various charity events throughout the year. At the end of 2020, and with the continuing COVID-19 restrictions still in place, McCartneys LLP felt that they would not be able to carry out the usual fundraising events and activities that they normally would. This led McCartneys LLP to think of new ways to be able to donate to a suitable charity.

At the end of 2020, McCartneys decided to run a promotion throughout January and February 2021 where they committed to donate £50 for every instruction received to market a property, in these months, which then went on to complete in 2021. The chosen charities for the donations were Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and Wales Air Ambulance, very worthy charities which McCartneys LLP were delighted to support.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity covers the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire. Its fleet includes three aircraft and two critical care cars. Wales Air Ambulance is a charity air ambulance service providing a free, life-saving helicopter emergency medical service for the critically ill and injured in Wales. It is not funded by NHS Wales, but only by charitable donations and they rely on companies like McCartneys LLP to help raise the £8 million needed every year.

McCartneys LLP were very pleased to report they raised a grand total of £3,250 for the Air Ambulance, £1,600 raised for Midlands Air Ambulance and £1,650 for Wales Air Ambulance. Jamie Tulloch, Partner of McCartneys commented ‘We really appreciate the instructions we received throughout January and February 2021 which helped make our donation possible to help support a very worthwhile cause.’

“The 21 air ambulance charities across the UK all work closely to share ideas and best practice so it is wonderful to see companies with offices in different areas support our sister organisations.” Pam Hodgetts, corporate partnerships manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, “Midlands Air ambulance are extremely grateful for the donation from McCartney’s which will help ensure the best care is available when it is needed most.”
