Horse Sales

McCartneys Horse and Pony Department has been in existence for many years, originally through its sales at Brecon Market.  The department has grown significantly over recent years with regular monthly sales in Brecon Market attracting around 200 entries from all sections.

The company has also been appointed as official auctioneers for the Welsh Pony and Cob Society as well as the British Connemara Society, The Shetland Stud Book Society, The Standardbred & Trotting Horse Association of Great Britain and The Hackney Horse Society, most of which we hold spring and autumn sales for.

The Official WPCS sale on the Royal Welsh Showground in October attracts 600-700 entries over three days, this sale is complemented by a forth day for other societies as listed above.
